As far, waiting for "official" list of equipment for our mod, i decided to create "pre-official" list of suggestion. If you have any other ideas, propositions , lets start discussion. At the moment without pictures, but as i said it is "discussion" list.:

A word of warning about the karacenas, the sources I've read all indicate that they were purely ceremonial armours used by senior officers in parades etc, they were not meant for use in battle. Furthermore although the earliest menton of a karacena dates to around 1637 they did not appear to have been common until after the Vienna campaign.

Please note the similarity of the late-Ottoman sipahi equipment to 'Pancerni' armour, this is NOT a coincidence.

Thanks for help Aqtai. You are really helpfull, especially with ottoman pics.

Karacena, was much worse armour than cuirass, and we know that. But it was most favorite type of armour of king Sobieski. Karacena was much heavier and was giving less protection than cuirass, but was nice looking Smile

Thats why was so popular later.... Polish noblemen were really snobby, trust me Smile
